What sets Southern Wake Middle School apart?

Small Class Sizes:

The average class size for the middle school is 23 students.  SWA is known for the personal relationships and strong connections built between students and staff.  A major factor in the small community feel of the school are the class sizes.

Co-teaching Model:

The middle school at SWA prides itself on small group instruction for students.  We tailor learning to each individual student.  It is not uncommon to see our staff collaboratively co-teaching a math or reading class.  This allows us to really get to know the needs of each student and teach them on their educational level.
