Middle School Campus Life

After School Clubs:

Middle School Clubs at SWA are primarily student-driven.  If your student has an interest or hobby they would like to share with peers, we encourage them to start a club!  The student needs a faculty representative to advise their club and attend the meetings.  Past student-led clubs include German Club and Running Club.  Teachers have also led Junior-Beta Club and Among Us Gaming Club.

A staple of the SWA Community is the Life Skills Club. Led by members of the Exceptional Children’s teaching team, Life Skills brings together students from both the high school and middle school.  The program provides students with disabilities an opportunity to work on their social skills while building relationships with their peers. It’s also a great opportunity for students in general education to work on leadership skills.

Middle School Athletics:

Middle School Athletics are overseen by the Athletic Director.  Questions concerning scheduling, practices and transportation should be directed to this member of our team.  Students in 6th through 8th grades with a current physical and completed documentation listed in the SWA Student-athlete handbook are encouraged to tryout for the following teams:

Fall Sports:

• Cross Country (Co-Ed)
• Soccer (Boys)
• Volleyball (Girls)

Winter Sports:

• Cheerleading (Co-Ed)
• Basketball (Boys)
• Basketball (Girls)

Spring Sports:
