SWA Lion's Closet
HELPING OUR STUDENTS
Every child should have access to the basic needs of life so that they can focus on their education. As a community, if we can assist those who are struggling to keep their focus on education, we will not only be improving the individual lives we touch, we will also be improving our overall community.
HOW IT WORKS
Any student in need because of financial challenges is eligible to use the services of the Lion's Closet. Families need to contact Cheri Marino, SWA MS Counselor at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance. Ms. Marino will then set up a day and time for you and your child to come in to shop. Upon arriving for your appointment, you and your child will be accompanied by Ms. Marino or an SWA Counselor or Administrator to the Lion's Closet and allowed to choose SWA School Uniform items he or she may need.
The Lion's Closet is a private, safe environment. The Closet is kept neat and organized. Students and their families use of the Closet is confidential so that students will not feel they “stand out” because they have been to the Lion's Closet. We want the people who use the Lion's Closet to feel good about their shopping experience.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The Southern Wake Academy Lion's Closet mission is to serve students who are facing financial challenges and in need of a little extra help with obtaining school uniforms; those students who are striving to do well academically, but need an extra boost to ensure their focus can be on their education and not on meeting their uniform requirements. Our belief is that as a school that has a focus on family, if we can assist those who are struggling to keep their focus on education, we will not only be improving the individual lives we touch, we will also be improving our overall community as these students become contributing members of society.
