About Me:
Born and raised in the great state of Michigan. I am happily married to my wife, Kayli of over 3 years and we have an amazing daughter named Lexi. I am an avid outdoors-man, particularly deer hunting and fishing. I love coaching and teaching. I have coached 7 years of high school baseball and 2 years of Volleyball. This will be my 6th year of teaching and 2nd at SWA.

Teaching Philosophy:
  1. All-encompassing
  2. Inclusive
  3. Competitive
It is my duty to urge my students to find understanding of the content being covered. Because, understanding can spark a passion and passion is what brings people to pursue a healthy active lifestyle.

During my class, I teach a well rounded and all encompassing curriculum of teaching various sports, rules and strategies to play across a life-time.

Including everyone regardless of ability or fitness level is mandatory in my class. Students will work cooperatively with others from various skill and ability levels, ultimately pursuing the same end goal.

I encourage competition in class. Though competition (winning and losing) is not everything in sport, it is a crucial learning tool for students to learn that not always will things go well. Not all subjects in school can teach this in the same impactful way that can be done in PE. This time of "failure" can be used as motivation, or used as a baseline for something to improve upon in the future.
